When is tutoring provided?
Students can be tutored anytime outside of the regular school day; after school, weekends and summers.
How often and how long will my child receive tutoring?
This will vary based on the goals for tutoring, but can range from everyday to once a week.
How are tutors assigned?
Tutors are very thoughtfully matched with students based on expertise, goals for tutoring, and personality.
What are the qualifications of the tutors?
ACES tutors have various backgrounds and experience. They are certified teachers or specialists in the areas they tutor.
What if I am not satisfied with the tutor for any reason?
ACES guarantees that if you are not fully satisfied with the tutor, the tutor will be changed immediately.
Can you meet the learning needs of students with disabilities?
ACES will provide your child the specific services and tutor to meet your child’s needs. Services will be provided that are consistent with your child’s individualized educational plan (IEP) or specialized services under Section 504.
Do you measure student needs?
ACES will measure your child’s needs and develop a plan for instruction that meets those needs.
Will I be informed of my child’s progress?
An ACES Educational Consultant will meet with you to establish goals for your child. We will measure progress toward these goals that will be shared with you in a clear and useful way.
Do I need to be home when my child is being tutored?
ACES requires that an adult be present in the home during tutoring sessions. If this is not convenient, tutoring can be scheduled in a school or local library.
